CUBE part of new Innovative Training Network VIROINF
A team of CUBE and DOME researchers, and 14 other beneficiaries under the lead of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany, have recently applied for a Innovative Training Network that aims at the understanding of (harmful) virus-host interactions 15 by linking virology and bioinformatics.
This ITN was selected for funding and will receive almost 4 mio EUR over four years. Within VIROINF, our team will develop novel computational methods for the analysis of metagenomic datasets to extract viral sequences, e.g. for the development of bacteriophage products.
