Lukas Weilguny has recently finished his PhD at EMBL-EBI working on computational optimisation of targeted DNA sequencing using nanopores. As a post-doc his work will be a part of the methods facility within the Cluster of Excellence "Microbiomes Drive Planetary Health", where he aims to apply his previous work to real microbial communities, develop further computational methods for microbiome research, and provide bioinformatics support for other work packages in the CoE.
We wish Lukas all the best in his new working environment!
